The service

SpaScanner helps UK Lay-Z-Spa inflatable hot tub owners photograph a test strip, understand readings, and follow simple care steps. Guidance is based on published Lay-Z-Spa UK chemical notes and the model you pick. Similar Bestway inflatables can use a matching litre figure. It is not a laboratory, a chemist, or a substitute for the booklet that came with your spa or chemicals.

We may change features, scan limits, or these terms. We will try to keep the in-app copy current.

Your account

You must give a genuine email and keep your login safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Household sharing lets a partner use the same spa journal. Only invite people you trust. The spa owner is responsible for who they invite.

SpaScanner Free and SpaScanner Plus

New starters get 7 days of full access to journal, unlimited photo reads, household invites, and reminders. That trial starts when you save the fill date on first fill, or immediately if the spa is already filled. Resetting spa setup does not restart the trial. After it ends, a SpaScanner Free account includes first-fill photo reads, then five complete reads per London calendar month. SpaScanner Plus is £19.99 for the first year, then £14.99 a year to renew, and unlocks those features for the season, as shown in the app at the time you subscribe.

SpaScanner Plus is billed by Stripe. The first year is £19.99. It then renews at £14.99 a year until you cancel. Cancel in Profile with Manage SpaScanner Plus, or through the Stripe customer portal, before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.

If the law gives you a cooling-off right for a distance contract, we will honour it. Refunds otherwise follow Stripe’s process and any statutory rights you have in the UK.

Acceptable use

Use the app for your own spa care. Do not upload photos of other people, try to break the service, or scrape it. Do not rely on a scan as a reason to ignore the chemical pack or stay-out warnings.

Guidance and liability

Readings come from a photo and may be wrong. Doses are estimates from published tables and the volume you enter. Chemicals can harm people, pets, and the spa if you mix them, overdose, or get in too soon.

To the fullest extent allowed by UK law, we are not liable for loss that comes from relying on a reading or dose, except where we cannot exclude liability (for example death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

Ending the account

You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
